Saint Mary’s Commitment to Military Families
Located near Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field, Duke Field, and the Army 7th Special Forces Group, Saint Mary Catholic School proudly serves as an educational home for many children of military personnel. Fifty-eight percent of our students have a military affiliation. Over half of our staff also have military connections, giving them a deep understanding of the unique challenges of military life, including frequent school transitions and deployments.
Professional development opportunities are provided to teachers to help them understand the challenges faced by military children and to equip them with strategies to offer comfort and support during transitions and throughout their educational experience.
Our Military Point of Contact (MPOC), Andrea Haynes (850-243-8913), a military spouse with strong family ties to the military, is committed to ensuring a smooth integration for military families into our community. She organizes monthly Military Kids Club meetings, coordinates Veterans Day and Month of the Military Child activities, and maintains close connections with our military families. Mrs. Haynes is available to assist with any issues you may encounter while transitioning to our school.
Our Director of Guidance, Amy Daniel supports all students at Saint Mary Catholic School by providing counseling for academic, emotional, and personal development. We focus on each student's potential for growth. Mrs. Daniel may be reached at (850) 243-8913.
For assistance with Transition and Academic Planning, please contact our Director of Admissions, Kim Wheaton at (850) 243-8913. A link to our Admissions page may be found here or below in our Tool Kit for Military Families
Additionally, our Archangel Ambassadors program ensures that all new students feel welcomed from their first day. Ambassadors accompany newcomers to lunch, introduce them to peers, and guide them around the school to help them settle in comfortably.

For any assistance, please contact Principal Peter Rodgers or Andrea Haynes at our main office at (850) 243-8913.
