6.  New Business –

The Walk: Serra Abel explained about the Walk/Run program.  The students will receive incentives for mileage.  She measured that 8 times around the playground is 1 mile.  They can walk during recess.  This will encourage more physical activity outside which should help with more focused attention inside the classroom.  The plan is for the program to start in January.  The program is still in the process of being formed, all ideas are welcomed.

7.  Mrs. Nadicksbernd thanked the PTO and also announced the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner/lunch to be held later that week.  She announced Ms. Barbara Younger, Youth Director for St. Mary’s Parish by explaining her “Faith Walk” with Barbara, which began 15 years ago.  Barbara spoke about the path to holiness.    She provided a card for each parent to remind them about their path to holiness:  From Mother Teresa, it says, “the fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of   is service, the fruit of service is peace.”    She closed with a prayer.

8. Adjourned 7:25

Mrs. Nadicksbernd thanked the parents for coming and explained that one goal was to keep the meetings short and share information that will help us all.
