The PTO Reps. are an important asset to the PTO Board. They are our link
to the classroom parents. Assist in giving information about PTO meetings,
upcoming events, activities and help in obtaining volunteer assistance for
school functions. Being a PTO Rep is a great way to establish a
relationship with old and new parents.
8. Old Business:
Footprints: A program presented last year by Maryetta Casey SMS Parent.
Footprints would be a way for our children to become more involved in
furthering their faith.
A Service Project has been suggested; each class would come up with an
idea to leave footprints thus showing goodwill and faith in our classroom,
school, church, community etc. Or a way to show others they can give of themselves and spread their faith
in other ways: such as acts of kindness, sharing, pleasant smile, etc.
Footprints Committee: Co-Chairs: Maryetta Casey and Melissa Welborn
Assist: PTO Rep and Teachers
Co-Chairs will present this to the teachers at the faculty meeting.
PTO has put money aside if class is in need of funds, but must be approved
by
Footprints Committee.
