School Play

February 10 and 11, 2012

Saint Mary School will proudly present Beauty and the Beast on Friday and Saturday, February 10 and 11, 2012 at the Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium.

Saturday, February 4th

 

Play Practice, February 4, at the Civic Auditorium (the auditorium is in front of school on Hwy 98)

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Please enter the auditorium from the side entrance. Please be on time dropping off and at pick up.

This practice is MANDATORY for everyone in the play, Stage Crew included.

 

We will also have our Cast Party, so we will be providing lunch. (pizza, cake and drinks)

Please be respectful of our practice rules. No parents, siblings, family members, friends are allowed at play practice.

We will have play practice throughout the week. We must have an Off-Campus Permission Slip for each student in order to take them to the Civic Auditorium this week.

On Tuesday, February 7th, our practice time is set for 3 - 6 p.m. The kids can bring a small snack or dinner to eat during practice. We will walk over after school.

On Friday and Saturday nights, the Main Cast must be at the Auditorium by 5 p.m. for hair and makeup. The rest of the cast must be there by 6 p.m.

Other Play News:

The tickets for the performances are on sale starting at 7:30 a.m. OUTSIDE the school front office. We will also be selling them after school, from 3 - 3:30 p.m. The prices are as follows:

$12.00 Preferred General Seating
$10.00 Preferred Child Seating (thru 8th Grade)

$10.00 General Seating
$ 5.00 General Child Seating (thru 8th Grade)

Guidelines for participation in the play are:

1.  Students auditioning for major roles must have a teacher sponsor them.  A teacher must sign that the student has a 2.0 average or better, is responsible, is dependable, and stays current with all academic work.

2.  Student's conduct grade must be 2 or better and the student must maintain it.

3.  Each cast member will pay a $30.00 production fee to be used for play expenses and costumes.  The fee is due by November 5.

4.  Students are required to attend all scheduled rehearsals. 

Please note: There are 2 MANDATORY rehearsals. One is scheduled for Saturday, February 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium. The other is on Tuesday, February 7,  after school from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium. All students must be present.

5.  All students must have an Off-Campus form signed on file with Sr. Robert Anne to participate.
